DIY Advent Calendar Kit: 25 Days of Crafts
As Christmas gets closer, kiddos get more and more excited for the big day. Our DIY Advent Calendar is the perfect way to countdown to Christmas!
Each day reveals a new creative prompt for the day (that’s 25 crafts!) to celebrate the holiday season, and the kit includes all the supplies you need to create the crafts. Read on for each day's craft and what supplies you'll need for each.
December 1
Write a letter to Santa. Santa letter template, gel pens, envelope.
December 2
Make a bracelet for a loved one. Up to 50 beads on a fuzzy stick or cording turned into a bracelet. Use up to 20" of cording.
December 3
Make an ornament out of craft sticks. 3 craft sticks crisscrossed, decorate with gems, glue on paillettes, or draw on with the gel pens.
December 4
Make a pom-pom animal friend. Glue pom-poms together, you can use felt and googly eyes to turn it into any animal.
December 5
Make a gift for your friend using pom poms. 3 pom poms, you can use felt, googly eyes, glitter, and sticker gems to decorate and turn it into anything.
December 6
Make a wreath out of a paper plate and decorate it. Use the paper plate. You can use tissue paper, or the paper strips to create a wreath. You can also just color on the paper plate with the gel pens or crayons. You can glue red pom-poms on like holly berries.
December 7
Create a garland out of paper strips. Use the paper strips to create a paper chain.
December 8
Draw a picture of yourself doing your favorite winter activity. Use the gel pens to draw a picture on a piece of paper.December 9
Decorate a paper gingerbread man. Use the cardstock gingerbread man, you can cut out pieces of felt, googly eyes, glitter, and sticker gems to decorate.December 10
Use glue and glitter to create a winter drawing. Draw using glue on a sheet of paper, sprinkle glitter on top.December 11
Make a picture frame. Use 4 craft sticks to create a frame, you can use felt, googly eyes, glitter, and sticker gems to decorate.December 12
Draw a portrait of your family for the picture frame you made. Use the gel pens on a sheet of paper to create the portrait.December 13
Draw a winter landscape. Use the gel pens or crayons on a sheet of paper to create a winter landscape.December 14
Make an ornament out of fuzzy sticks. You can bend them to make a snowflake, or shape them into a tree.
December 15
Decorate some gift tags. Decorate the gift tags using the gel pens, crayons, glue, glitter.December 16
Make a necklace for a loved one. Use the elastic cording or gold string and beads to create a necklace. Use up to 50 beads and 20" of elastic cording or gold string.December 17
Make a card for someone you love. Decorate the gift tags using the gel pens, crayons, glue, glitter.December 18
Make an ornament out of felt. Use the felt to cut a circle shape, use glue and glitter to decorate it.December 19
Cut snowflakes out of paper and decorate them. Fold a piece of paper in half 3 times, cut into a snowflake.December 20
Make a card for your favorite person. Fold a piece of paper in half to make a card.December 21
Make a snowman out of a clothespin. Use the clothespin, Draw on eyes and a nose or use the googly eyes. Make a hat out of felt.December 22
Make a candy cane out of your craft supplies. Twist a red and white fuzzy stick together, or put red and white beads on a fuzzy stick.December 23
Make an ornament out of beads.String beads onto a fuzzy stick, or cording. Or glue them onto a piece of felt to create an ornament.December 24
Wrap all of your crafts like presents.December 25
