DIY Cardboard Holiday Cookies

Use the Kid Made Modern Christmas Craft Kit to create everlasting gingerbread cookies from cardboard! The kit has everything you need to decorate your cookies. Read below for the full tutorial. 

Materials: 

• Christmas Craft Kit
• Brown, washable paint
• Cardboard
• Pencil
• Gingerbread person cookie cutters
• Scissors
• Paintbrush

How to Make It: 

Step 1

Use a pencil to trace your cookie cutter onto a piece of cardboard. You can use cookie cutters shaped like gingerbread people, or other shapes! I also traced a small bowl to make circle shapes. Cut out the cardboard shapes.

Step 2

Use brown, washable paint to paint your cardboard cookie shapes! Allow them to dry completely before moving on. 

Step 3

Once your paint has dried, open your Christmas Craft Kit and plug in your glue gun. Use the items inside the craft kit to decorate your cookies. There are so many options for decorating your cookies! You can use pom poms, beads, or pieces of sparkly paper to make buttons, googly eyes to make eyes, and pipe cleaner pieces to give your gingerbread people smiles!

Glue everything on with your hot glue gun. To make small circles from the sparkly paper, you can punch holes with your hole punch.
