Dandelion Flower Art
Get outside with dad for this fun, nature-inspired craft! Dandelions and flowers abound in the summertime — right around Father’s Day! All you’ll need is dandelions, glue, and paper to make fabulous “Daddy”lion art!
Begin by selecting a colorful piece of construction paper or card stock. For some extra fun, use our Wondrous Watercolor Kit to create your own background by painting watercolors onto a piece of paper from the Watercolor Pad.
Now, gather your dandelions! Get outside with dad and pick as many dandelions as you can find. If there are no dandelions in your area, you can use any small and colorful flower or leaf!
Next, pick the stems off the dandelion at the base of the flower so that just the flowers remain. This is a great tactile activity for little hands!
Use white glue to create the shape you’d like your dandelions to make on the paper. Use the glue to draw a large heart, or spell out “D-A-D”!
Finally, stick the dandelions onto the glue and let dry. You’ll have “dandy” Father’s day art!
