First Day of School Sign DIY with Play Toys and Books
We're celebrating Back to School with our pals at Play, a Chicago-based kid's toy, book, and gift store. Play owner Ann Kienzle teaches us how to craft a first day of school photo frame using our Arts and Crafts Supply Library or Rainbow Kit.
What you will need:
・ KMM ARTS AND CRAFTS LIBRARY which includes most of the items
OR THE
・ KMM OVER THE RAINBOW CRAFT KIT has the 6 popsicle sticks for this craft
・ KMM Jumbo Marker Set or markers you have at home
・ Paper sheets or use the KMM Artist Pad
・ Hole Puncher - might need help from an adult
・ Glue - hot glue for adults or plain glue for kids
Let’s Get Crafting! First, assemble the 6 popsicle sticks into a rectangle shape. Glue them together and let it dry. Then, Once dry, decorate your popsicle sticks. Use fuzzy sticks or markers to cover the entire popsicle stick. Continue decorating the popsicle sticks until they are covered with details. PRO TIP: Use your imagination and express your creativity!
Now, using paper - cut to fit the rectangle shape. Decorate your paper! Use gems, google-eyes, write your child's name in sequins or whatever inspires you. Glue on your paper with the rectangle on the front of the paper. Last, using a fuzzy stick hanger shape to use as a hanger. With a hole puncher you can make holes in the paper, to make the fuzzy stick hanger reusable.
