Giant Ice Cream Bar DIY
Here is a simple, colorful, and GIANT ice cream bar craft for kids to make as they look forward to the arrival of summer! This ice cream bar craft is fun and easy enough for kids as young as toddlers and preschoolers to make together with an adult’s help. It is a wonderful summer craft that will surely have your kids excited!
For this activity, we created our ice cream bar using just a few simple materials. We used some simple felt on top of cardboard to make the ice cream bars, and then used Kid Made Modern’s awesome Rainbow Craft Kit to decorate them!

Gather your materials. Use thin cardboard to make the backing for the ice cream bar. We used a cereal box and a pasta box. To obtain a nice, round shape at the top of your ice cream bar, trace the outline of a plate at the top of your cardboard. Once you have your ice cream bar shape, cut it out from the cardboard.
Trace the top of your ice cream bar cardboard shape onto a piece of felt. Then, cut out your felt using a good pair of scissors (children may need an adult’s help with this part). Next, glue the felt onto the cardboard.
Glue your decorations onto the felt. Use your imagination and have fun with it!
Add “sprinkles” using straws, or “candy” using pom poms. Allow all of the decorations to dry completely before moving on to the next step.
Create a popsicle stick to support your ice cream bar from cardboard and felt material in the same way that you made the ice cream bar part. Trace a long rectangle from cardboard, then a piece of felt, and glue them together on the back of the ice cream bar.
This ice cream bar craft is really so much fun and so simple to make. It makes the perfect craft to display to brighten up your home, and to get everyone excited for summer! So, on this summer break, go ahead and grab your kids and craft supplies and give it a try!
