How To:
Step 1:
Use a white crayon from the Crayon Library to write letters, numbers, sight words, and/or math facts. It’s tricky to see the white crayon (that’s the point!), but if you shine a flashlight against the paper it can help you see as you write!
There are so many ways to use this technique. Consider cutting your artists pad into flash card sized pieces before writing to make a set of beautiful watercolor flash cards! Or, you could create a poster featuring all of the letters of the alphabet - the options are endless!
Step 2:
Use the watercolors from your Wondrous Watercolor Palette to paint over top of the crayon. Be sure to have plenty of water on your brush! This works best with watery paint.
As you paint, everything you wrote will be revealed! This happens because the wax in the crayon resists the watery paint and the paint can’t stick to it! You can paint over your crayon with as many colors as you like, or use the same color the whole time.
