Kid Made Modern's jewelry kits are chock full of creative possibilities! Have you checked out our Basic Beaded Jewelry Making Techniques + Knots tutorial? It's a great place to dive in and explore all of the options our kits offer. We're featuring in more detail one of the techniques we introduced in that post -- Pearl Knotted jewelry. Pearl knotting is the technique of tying small, overhand knots in between beads. As the name implies, it's how most pearls are strung on a strand. We're using it here to spell out some fun baubles!

Materials:
- KMM Alphabet Charm Jewelry Kit
- Scissors
Steps:

- Lay out design -- cut a length of stretchy cord and lay out the design of your beads.

- Add shaped beads -- tie a few overhand knots on one end of the cord, leaving a small tail to finish the bracelet. Slide on first pattern of shaped beads.

- Knot on alphabet beads -- add the alphabet beads, tying overhand knots in between the letters. Depending on how tight you pull the knot, you may need to make a double knot to keep the alphabet beads in place.

- Finish pattern -- add the remaining pattern of shaped beads. Knot the bracelet at the end and then tie the two ends together.
