ABOUT THE TEACHER
Mindy Baumgartner is not your typical art teacher. After receiving her Bachelors of Science in Physics and Astronomy, she spent 15 years at several prominent science museums. While there, she committed to enriching the museum visitor experience by engaging guests with live STEM content. Although she thrived as a museum educator, Mindy's ever-present instinct to create drove her to leverage her talents as a maker. She explored developing skills that would allow her to showcase the intersection of science and art, aligning with her passion for presenting science as approachable and fun. Mindy's unique voice is forever at the forefront of each of her artistic endeavors – be they in calligraphy, painting, quilting, crotchet, photography, or a brand new creative adventure. You can check out her art as @CraftyPhysicist on Instagram.
